Dr. Ogunjirin has been a faculty member at Gallaudet University since 2012.  In summers, Dr. Ogunjirin works as a visiting professor at the department of Chemistry and Biochemistry James Madison University Harrisonburg, Virginia.

His education background includes a B.Pharm. professional degree in Pharmacy from University of Ibadan, Nigeria, a MSc in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology from University of Lagos, Nigeria, and a Ph.D in Drug Design in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Howard University, Washington, DC.

Courses Taught in the Last Five Years

Human biology (lecture and laboratory), Vertebrate Zoology (lecture and laboratory), Invertebrate Zoology (lecture and laboratory), Anatomy & Physiology (lecture and laboratory), Drug Design (A general study course), Introductory Biology for Science Majors (laboratory), and Research Experience courses (200-, 300- and 400- level).

Dr. Ogunjirin is currently performing research on design and synthesis of novel small organic molecules for the treatment of neurological disorder.
