Allison Polk is an academic and a creative writer who specializes in strategic storytelling and its power to engage people in the greater story of Gallaudet and the impact its faculty, staff, and graduates have on the world and its societies. She came to the Office of Development in 2012 after spending time as a communications specialist in the private sector as well as contracting with the Office of Communications at Gallaudet. She previously served as a Presidential Fellow with the Department of English.

Serves as point of contact for foundations and other private grant-awarding organizations, collaborating with Gallaudet faculty and staff in order to strengthen and forge partnerships that advance the University.
