Dr. Concetta Pucci is the BSW Field Faculty in the Department of Social Work at Gallaudet University. She has taught versatile courses in the Department of Social Work since 2008 as an adjunct and now a faculty member. She taught courses including introduction to social work, human development in the social environment, social welfare policies, practices at micro-, mezzo-, and macro-levels, field practicum, and social work theories. Also, she provides support to all social work students in their field education including facilitating field seminars and providing clinical supervision.

Dr. Pucci received her Bachelor of Science in Social Work (B.S.S.W.) from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2001 then received Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from New York University in 2002. Then, she worked as a school social worker at Lexington School for the Deaf in New York City for several years then decided to return to school to earn a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Special Education Administration at Gallaudet University in 2012. Dr. Pucci also volunteers as a Board Chair for DAWN—a non-profit organization that supports and safeguards survivors of domestic violence in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Dr. Pucci is a licensed graduate-level social worker meanwhile, she is currently doing clinical work at Deaf-REACH, McClendon Center, and National Deaf Therapy to obtain her clinical license.

To balance her work life, she enjoys running in half marathons, working out in high impact interval classes, cooking new recipes, sampling food at restaurants, traveling and visiting new places, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
