Issue resolved: Blackboard course listings

Information for: Faculty and students who use Blackboard

Issue: the Current Courses view in Blackboard displays all courses taught and/or taken--past, present, and future. Filtering to view just this current semester's courses required additional steps.

In this screenshot you can see that although it is titled "Current Courses," the top three courses listed are from 2016.

Resolution: We have identified the cause of the issue and have fixed it. On February 10, 2019, at 9 p.m., we will update the settings in Blackboard to apply the fix. After the update has been implemented, you will only see your current semester courses in the Current Courses view.

This screenshot shows what that the list now only includes Spring 2019 courses.

Additional information: If you are enrolled in an online course that begins in the second half of the current semester, you will find them in the Upcoming Courses view until they begin. Likewise, courses that end before the end of the semester will not be displayed in Current Courses once they end but they will be available if you specifically select to view Spring 2019 semester courses.
