New self-service password management system

Gallaudet Technology Services has implemented a change to the password management process. Effective November 30, the current self-service system was replaced with a new and improved portal. The new system allows you to update your password and reset your password if you forget it. To be able to use the new system, you should enroll your account and set up your verification methods (alternate email address, authenticator app for your mobile device, and/or secret questions).

All students and employees will receive an email from the IT Service Desk prompting you to enroll your account in the new password reset system. You are encouraged to take a few minutes to enroll so that you can use the self-service portal when you need to reset your password in the future.

For more information, see password.gallaudet.edu.

Tips: Ensure that your personal and Gallaudet data is secure!

  • Never share your password with anyone, including Gallaudet employees, friends, significant others, or relatives.

  • Beware of phishing emails that attempt to lure you to malicious websites and to log in using your Gallaudet credentials.

  • Respond quickly when you get a notification that your password has been changed and you have not changed it.  Report it to the IT Service Desk immediately.

  • Never give your Gallaudet credentials to anyone who asks for your credentials over the phone, videophone, email, or any kind of communication method to “verify” your account.
