HRS Resources Guide for Support Staff and Supervisors

INTRODUCTION

This purpose of this resource guide is to provide guidance on a wide variety of human resources and payroll processes.  This will help ensure that each department is following the same and correct policies and procedures. As a result, it will assist in preventing delays and will ensure that human resources and payroll tasks are processed in a timely manner.  All forms are available on the HRS Intranet.  However, please do send an email to hrs@gallaudet.edu if you need assistance in locating these forms. 

HRS cannot succeed without the help of support staff within Gallaudet University.  All support staff play a critical role in ensuring their departments’ operations are running efficiently.  Many administrators depend on support staff in ensuring that they are following the correct policies and procedures.  Thus, it is our hope that this guide will provide support staff with clear guidance to perform their jobs successfully.

Please note that this guide will be updated periodically, as needed.  HRS will make every effort to communicate to all support staff whenever the resource guide is updated.

If and when policies and procedures change, they will be documented in the Administration and Operations Manual, which contains Gallaudet’s general operating guidelines. The manual can be found on the Gallaudet website, under the Division of Administration and Finance. While every effort is made to keep you informed of changes, it is your responsibility to refer to the manual from time to time to keep abreast of revisions, additions, or deletions.
