Wednesday, October 14 – Bias Interruptions

The Bias Interrupter training is on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 during Common Time (12 noon to 1pm). Bias interrupters use the practice of interrupting the hidden or implicit biases in an organization to create change in the basic institutional systems and structures that perpetuate bias. The foundational components of bias interruption include: 1) assessing the bias, 2) identifying key metrics, 3) interrupting the bias, 4) tracking the metrics to see whether they improve, and making adjustments when necessary.

The Bias Interrupter training is offered by Bendita Cynthia Malakia of Hogan Lovells and Teresa Blankmeyer Burke, Faculty Administrator of Faculty Development.

Wednesday, November 11 – TBD

Save the date! More information will be forthcoming for Wednesday, November 11 during Common Time (12 noon to 1:50pm).
