image of the flyer: see body text above for a description.

In honor of Black History Month, the LGBTQA Resource Center brings you Black, Deaf, and LGBTQIA+, a panel discussion. It will be held Wednesday, February 19, from noon - 1:30 p.m. at the atrium inside SLCC.  Please join us for what is sure to be a lively discussion about how intersecting identities impact black people's lives and how we can all work together to create a more equitable and welcome society. Our panelists will share their stories and provide insight for our students with similar identities.

Joining us on the panel:

  • Najma Johnson, executive director of DAWN
  • Ritchie Bryant, staff interpreter
  • Franklin Jones, faculty, Department of ASL and Deaf Studies
  • Rosalyn Watson, class of 2019, Bachelors of Arts in Art and Media Design
  • Micah Fields, student, current president of Rainbow Society

Moderated by: Felicia Williams, faculty, ASL department
