Campus Solutions upgrade to version 9.2

Dear community,

We are excited to share with you that Gallaudet Technology Services (GTS) will move the Peoplesoft (PS) Campus Solutions module from the on-premise servers (hosted in our data center) to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. During this time, we are also upgrading our module from version 9.0 to version 9.2 where it will deliver more functionalities and fluid technology to the community.

The PeopleSoft fluid Users Interface (UI) is a modern, responsive UI that lets you work on phones, tablets, and desktops. Classic Plus adds the fluid styling to classic desktop pages for continuity across all Campus Solutions applications.
The migration and upgrade will require the Campus Solutions system to be offline starting Thursday, February 6, at 5:00 p.m.  The work will be conducted throughout the weekend. The system will be brought back up on the evening of Sunday, February 9, and will be available for community use on Monday morning. Once back online, the user's experience with the system will be the same as it was before the move. The user's experience with the system will be essentially unchanged except for some minor differences with the landing page and UI.

Please note, while the Campus Solutions system is offline. Students and employees will not able to log into the system. Be assured that all existing systems that are integrated with Campus Solutions, such as BlackBoard, 25Llive, EAB Navigate will
continue to function normally. There are no anticipated outages on these systems.

This move is the last of three phases in an effort to move the management of our core systems into a cloud-hosted environment. Phase one, the Finance system; Phase two, the Human Capital Management were successfully completed.
Migration to a cloud infrastructure is intended to reduce the cost and risk of maintaining on-premise infrastructures and to improve data resiliency. The project is in line with RRT suggestions to improve resource efficiency and reduce costs, as well as with a recent assessment of IT services which recommended more shared commodity services and focus on enhancing and improving "return on investment" by maximizing the use of Peoplesoft systems.
We appreciate our colleagues across campus, namely Admissions, Academic Advising, Center for Continuing and Online Education, Financial Aid Office, Housing, Registrars, and Student Finance Office.  Their collaboration and cooperation over the last 7 months are making this project possible.
