CI Survey for research now available for participants

Abigail Harkey, a second-year graduate student majoring in Audiology, is conducting a survey on bilateral Cochlear Implant (CI) users as their opinions regarding music and music appreciation. The survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.

Survey eligibility:

  • ·  You have two CIs.

  • ·  You have had your CIs for more than 6 months.

  • ·  You do not have hybrid CIs.

  • ·  You are 14 years or older.

Research findings will promote a better understanding of music perception and enjoyment of different groups of people with CIs, with special focus on the responses of young Deaf CI users in comparison to others with CIs. The results of the study explore cultural and perceptual differences of CI users with regards to music.

If you have had two non-hybrid CIs for more than 6 months, are 14 years or older, and you would like to participate in this study, click on the link below to begin.
