Coda children needed for brief research project

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for Codas, between the ages of two and five, who would like to read a book with me. My name is Leah Carson, I am a speech-language pathology graduate student at Gallaudet University completing a research project to explore the amazing language benefits children gain from living in the Deaf community.
The experiment will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour, where some other graduate students and I will read a few books with your child and chat in either ASL or English. I am offering $20 for your participation. The time of participation can be flexible to your availability.
To participate, the child must:
- be between two and five years old
- be hearing
- have at least one deaf parent
- been exposed to both English and ASL from a young age
- not have a confirmed or suspected intellectual disability, cognitive impairment, autism, or developmental disorder
For more information, or to sign up, please contact me at
Thank you!
