"Creating Equitable Opportunities for Deaf People in a Hearing University - Insights from the Philippines" presentation to be held October 10, 2017

A presentation, led by one of Gallaudet's New World Deaf Leadership (WDL) scholars and officials from the Center For Education Access and Development (CEAD) at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in Manila, will take place. CEAD is a rare and wonderful explample of institutional investment in making a hearing university accessible by hiring deaf professionals to utilize Filipino Sign Language to improve access.

The presenters are:

  • Theresa Christine De La Tore (Director of CEAD)
  • May Tabares Cabutihan (Principal of Benilde Deaf School)
  • Raphael Domingo (WDL Scholar)
