Deaf Student-Parents Needed for Research Study

The goal of this study is to learn about the perspectives of Deaf student-parents and how they describe their social and academic experiences, as well as their ability to manage multiple roles.

 

Participation criteria for the study:

  • You must identify as Deaf
  • Your preferred or primary means of communication is ASL
  • You must have at least one child
  • You must be enrolled full-time and as an active undergraduate college student

 

If you participate, you will be asked to:

  1. Complete an interview
  2. Participate in a live observation of you interacting with your child(ren)
  3. Review transcripts of your interview to ensure accuracy

The total time for participating in this study is approximately five hours.

Participants will be compensated $20 per hour.
