Delta Mu Delta Chapter established at Gallaudet effective April 13, 2017

The Delta Mu Delta Chapter was established at Gallaudet University, effective April 13.

Delta Mu Delta is an international honor society established in 1913 to recognize students in accredited business schools for their high academic achievement in baccalaureate, masters and doctorate programs. Delta Mu Delta stands for Dia Matessos Dynamis, which signifies the motto, “Through knowledge, power – the power to manage creatively for social and economic good.” Founded in 1913, there are more than 85,000 members in 165 chapters throughout the country. Membership is open to qualified Business Majors and Accounting Majors seniors , only schools accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs are permitted to establish chapters of Delta Mu Delta. The Gallaudet chapter is called Xi Gamma was established in 2017. Dr. Fouad Moussa, associate professor of Finance, serves as adviser for the Gallaudet Chapter. 

On April 13, 2017, Emilia Chukwuma, chair of the Business Department and Dr. Tim Scales, representing Delta Mu Delta, and Moussa inducted the students at the first induction ceremony for Delta Mu Delta at Gallaudet.
