The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is partnering with the D.C. Fire Department, Engine 10, in collecting new and unwrapped toys for children for The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve 'Toys for Tots' program. Toys are collected from now until December 24, they are then taken to a distribution center where toys are collected, sorted by age and gender, wrapped, then distributed to needy children in the D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia area.
A box for collection has been set up in the DPS lobby, located at Carlin Hall.
Please make sure toys you donate are new and unwrapped.
This is a good time of year to reflect on what we have and find it within ourselves to give to others. This program depends on the support and generosity of the local community.
