The Gallaudet Dance Company, founded in 1955, is pleased to announce the 64th spring dance concert, Icons and Inspirations, sponsored by the Department of Art, Communication, and Theatre and the Delta Zeta Foundation. Performance dates are Friday March 29, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Saturday March 30, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. in Elstad Auditorium, Gallaudet University, 800 Florida Avenue, NE, Washington, DC  20002-3695 [Metro - RED line - NoMa-Gallaudet]. Free on-campus parking is available.

Audience members can expect to be entertained by dynamic Gallaudet Dancers and guest dance companies performing a variety of new dance works showcasing dance genres such as hip-hop, jazz, modern, lyrical ballet, and of course, their famous fusion of ASL and dance. This year, choreographers Teresa Dominick, Debra Floyd, Clarissa Garrison, Ashley Pigliavento, Tanisha Russell, and student choreographers are presenting new dance works. Participating guest dance companies include: Bison with Attitude, Gallaudet Alumni Dancers, Kendall Performing Arts, MSSD Performing Arts, National Deaf Dance Theatre, New Renaissance Arts, Sunshine 2.0, and the Wild Zappers.

PHOTOGRAPHY CREDIT goes to Andrew Robertson of Silver Spring, Maryland. Mr. Robertson has been photographing the Gallaudet dancers since 2014.  The Gallaudet Dance Company is most appreciative of his work in capturing the spirit of the dancers and their technical abilites during rehearsals and performances.
