SESSION DESCRIPTION
Do you have faculty looking for grants who need help? Your department got a grant and now you're wondering how to follow through? By attending this session, you will become better acquainted with grant management and research administration basics, how it fits in with your day-to-day duties, and the available resources to assist you throughout the process.

HOW WILL YOU BENEFIT
You will be able to:

  • Understand what departmental research administration is and isn't 
  • Examine the life cycle of a sponsored research project 
  • Explore and discern the main areas of importance in departmental research administration that will help to develop you as an effective administrator 
  • Identify the key components in proposal development 
  • Discover how and where to find the information needed to do your job successfully 
  • Understand how to use your organization's policies and procedures to minimize risks
