IDMA alum and student ambassador participates in the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute 2019 Leadership Conference

Steph Niaupari, ’17 & G-’19 and Daya Espinosa, ’18 and second year International Development in M.A. Program (IDMA) student, participated in the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s 2019 Leadership Conference, taking place from September 10-12, 2019 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC. Niaupari's roles is as CHCI 2019-2020 Pepsi Co. Foundational Nutritional Graduate Fellow, and Espinosa's role is World Institute Disability Ambassador.

CHCI's Leadership Conference is a two-day forum for thoughtful discussion on a wide variety of issues such as education, health, workforce, immigration, civil rights, and more--which enabled Niaupari and Espinosa's to meet with Members of Congress and other public officials, corporate executives, celebrities, nonprofit advocates, community leaders and students—together highlighting, influence, and contributions to the country’s future.
