International travel insurance now available for students, staff, and faculty

Are you traveling internationally for spring break? Or are you planning to travel this summer? The International Student Identity Card (ISIC) is your passport to fantastic discounts and services at home and around the world. It also provides basic health and travel insurance that can cover you while you are abroad since most American health insurance is not applicable while you are out of the country. The basic ISIC card costs only $25 and will provide you basic coverage while you are abroad. Students, staff, and faculty are ALL eligible to use an ISIC card as travel insurance.

If you want an ISIC card, please download the Gallaudet ISIC Basic Application Form and fill it out and sign at the bottom. Email the signed form along with a headshot (a photo of your face where you are looking towards the camera) to abroad@gallaudet.edu. You will be given an appointment to come in and purchase and pick up your card. You will need to pay for the card with cash or a check made out to Gallaudet University. Please bring your Gallaudet ID with you to your appointment.

*If you are applying for a study abroad or internship abroad program, you DO NOT need to fill this out. You will get an ISIC card as part of your application process.

Contact coordinator of Education Abroad, Becca AbuRakia-Einhorn at abroad@gallaudet.edu if you have any questions.
