Participants needed for an online dissertation survey

Paul Silvasi, a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at Gallaudet, is performing a research study that looks at interaction experiences between deaf individuals and the police. You are able to participate if you are a deaf or hard of hearing individual with at least one experience with the police. Experiences with the police can include being pulled over, being questioned as a witness, being detained as a suspect, and much more as long as you have had direct contact with the police. There is no compensation for participating in this study; however, you will have the opportunity to potentially participate in a paid one-hour interview following completion of the survey. The goal for this study is to provide more transparency between deaf people and the police to contribute to a better experience for deaf people in the future when they are required to interact with the police.

The survey can be accessed at this link: https://surveys.gallaudet.edu/surveys/?s=RDXML7N9XC

This study has been approved by the Gallaudet University IRB.
