Poor People's Campaign internship available

The Poor People’s Campaign seeks two Gallaudet University student interns to work remotely with a team of deaf, hard of hearing and hearing leaders from around the country to organize toward the June 2020 march on Washington calling for an end to systemic poverty, racism, war, and ecological devastation.

Over 50 years ago, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. began the Poor People's Campaign (PCC). Tragically, he was killed before he could complete his mission. With systemic racism, poverty, war, and environmental destruction getting worse with every day, leaders from around the country are working to revive Dr. King's Poor People's Campaign and saying enough is enough! The PPC will organize a massive march on Washington this June to encourage all people to get involved and vote for politicians that care about poor and low-wealth people, the sick, immigrants, workers, the environment, deaf people, people with disabilities, first nations, the LGBTQ community, and peace over war.
