Praxis Core Math Test Preparation Workshop

Fridays, April 5, 12, 19 and May 3, 2019

Workshop:Are you ready to take the Praxis Core Exams in mathematics? This workshop is a thorough review of the Core Tests that can help you prepare for the exams as well as give you the knowledge you need to score well on the Core Academic Skills for Educator tests.

Students will:

  • become familiar with the format and contents of the Praxis Core Exams
  • develop important test-taking strategies for the Praxis Core Exams,
  • identify content areas and question types on the Praxis Core Exams for additional review,
  • practice test items similar to the real Praxis Core Exams,
  • experience taking full practice Praxis Core Exam, and
  • develop a study plan to maximize achieving a passing score on the Praxis Core Exams.

Instructor: Michelle Burke is currently a teacher in the Mathematics Program of the Science, Technology, and Math Department at Gallaudet University. Ms. Burke has extensive experience working with professionals and adult learners preparing for career related exams and licensure testing. She holds an M.S. in Applied Mathematics.
