Research Survey Participation

Hello Gallaudet! My name is Cami Miner, I’m a certified ASL interpreter and a PhD student at Gallaudet University in the Department of Interpretation and Translation. I am personally fascinated by the relationship and interaction between interpreters and the Deaf community, which has sparked this research project on interpreters’ membership in the Deaf community. I’m interested, not in finding a definitive answer that can be universally applied, but in collecting perspectives from interpreters and Deaf stakeholders to form a deeper understanding of this relationship. This research is being conducted in partnership with Dr. Kim Kurz, RIT professor and Deaf researcher. If you are Deaf or an interpreter, interested in this topic, and would like to share your thoughts and opinions, please fill out the survey! All participation is voluntary, and at any point you can exit the survey for any reason.
