Summer 2019 undergraduate research internships at Tufts University available for deaf and hard of hearing students

An intern is shown working.

Summer 2019 - interns will use electrospinning to create nano-scale fibers of various polymers and study the effect of electrospinning parameters (e.g., voltage, concentration) on fiber properties. The fibers can be made to be super-hydrophobic or super-hydrophilic, for applications either in water filtration, advanced battery applications, neuronal guidance, or in drug delivery.

When: May 22–June 28, 2019 (coinciding with First Summer Session at Tufts University)

Where: Tufts University, 574 Boston Ave. - Room 419, Medford, MA 02155

What is provided: The four selected interns will receive a stipend of $3000 for the six weeks, and 1.0 semester hour credit from Tufts University.  In addition, tuition for the course, registration fee, dormitory housing costs, and a small food allowance will be provided to the four interns.
