The Office of Sponsored Programs and Research Services presents "Did You Know?"

Did you know that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) will be hosting a virtual seminar on program funding and grants administration for free?  The 2020 NIH Virtual Seminar will take place from Tuesday, October 27th - Friday, October 30th.  The seminar is designed for those who are new to working with the NIH grants process such as administrators, early-stage investigators, researchers, and graduate students.  Those with more experience will have the chance to learn from NIH experts who will provide sessions designed for participants who are more advanced and are focused on more in-depth policies and processes.  The seminar seeks to demystify the application and review process; clarify federal regulations and policies; and highlight current areas of special interest or concern.

You can review the agenda and register for the seminar for free using this link.  The NIH will provide closed captioning for all live and recorded sessions.  For additional accommodations or general questions regarding the seminar contact the NIH at NIHRegionalSeminars@nih.gov.

Grants and contracts are integral to establishing "Gallaudet as the epicenter of research development and outreach leading to advancements in knowledge and practice for deaf and hard of hearing people and all humanity."  A central component of Gallaudet University's mission is the enhancement of faculty and staff opportunities for creative and scholarly research and training.  If you have a question about the grant writing process or if you have an idea or concept and would like to discuss potential grant opportunities, please contact Audrey Wineglass Foster at audrey.foster@gallaudet.ed.   We look forward to meeting and working with you.
