The Clerc Center's Mary Lightfoot, E-’03 and Matt Barclay exhibited Clerc Center resources at the 2018 conference of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), which was held in Tampa, Florida, from February 7-10, 2018.

Two Clerc Center resources highlighted at CEC this year were Educating Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing: A Guide of Professionals in General Education Settings, an online course designed for teachers and professionals who have never worked with a deaf or hard of hearing student; and An Interpreted Education, a recent webcast production exploring educational interpreting in the K-12 classroom. Lightfoot also attended a meeting of the Division of Communication Disorders and Deafness (DCDD), a division under CEC that focuses on best practices and emergent research in deaf education, while Barclay attended the Council for Administrators of Special Education (CASE) all-day Board Meeting on February 6.
