    Danilo Torres, G-'11, international liaison specialist with the Office of Research Support and International Affairs, talks about growing up in Colombia before moving to Miami, Florida. After moving to the United States as a teenager, Torres worked at low-skilled jobs before attending Gallaudet. His education at Gallaudet helped him to ultimately succeed. Torres was invited to share his personal experiences in accessing quality education and employment, the challenges he faced, and the strategies used to overcome them.

    Torres gave his presentation at an United States Agency for International Development (USAID) conference in Washington, D.C., entitled “Nuts and Bolts for Designing Disability Inclusive Education Programs in Latin America and the Caribbean", on May 4, 2017.
