    Stephanie Niaupari, '17 and first year graduate student in the M.A. in International Development (IDMA) program, presented her original research at the 14th Inter-American Symposium on Ethnography and Education. Niaupari’s presentation—titled “Perspectives on the Barriers Facing the Ecuadorian Deaf Education System in Quito, Ecuador”—was presented in ASL and engaged audience discussion of her major findings, as well as an extended discussion of the “power behind language"—in Ecuador and elsewhere.
