    Kelsey Prickett, a biology major, was rewarded first place for her research poster at the 20th annual Undergraduate Research Symposium for the Chemical and Biological Sciences at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County. Her poster, titled "The Relationship between Calcium Concentration and Zebra Mussels in the Brainerd Lakes Area", shows the relationship between calcium, water hardness, and total phosphorus concentrations to the zebra mussel population in 20 lakes and identified lakes that are at risk of infestation. Student Brandt Marceaux and Dr. Daniel Lundberg, ’02, chemistry professor, also contributed to this project.
