International Student and Scholar Services, an unit of the Office of International Affairs, welcomed 14 new undergraduate and graduate students from 15 countries to the fall 2019 International Student Orientation (ISO).

One of the new students, Susanna Ricci Bitti (back row,  second from left), is a Roberto Wirth/Fulbright scholar from Italy, and another, Jorge Martinez Castiblanco (back row, left), is a Nippon Foundation World Deaf Leadership scholar from Colombia. ISO offers activities for new international students that ensure a successful transition to life at Gallaudet and in the U.S. by helping them obtain full awareness of the University's resources and services and to identify issues that may compromise their academic and social life. Also pictured are, backrow: (from third left) Clemence Angue Ndong (Gabon), Chien-an Chen (Taiwan), Myrna Sorelle Pambou (Gabon); front row (from left) Marina Arroyo Chavez (Mexico), and Molly Feany (Canada).
