Dr. Patricia Tesar, ’86 & PhD ’02, Office for Students with Disabilities (OSWD) director, and Dr. Jeffrey Shaumeyer, communications coordinator, presented papers at two national conferences during summer 2018. The two conferences were: “Coming to View Disability-Support Services as an Initiative in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion”, at the University of Connecticut Postsecondary Disability Training Institute, in Baltimore, Maryland, from May 31 to June 2, and “Full-Service Disability Support: DSS as an Initiative in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion”, at the National Conference of the Association on Higher Education and Disabilities, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from July 16 through 20. The authors are grateful to Pamela Rypkema, Office of Risk Management and Insurance manager, for her generous sponsorship.
