On May 14, 2019, the National Science Foundation-Gallaudet University Science of Learning Center, Visual Language and Visual Learning (VL2) hosted its fourth annual Knowledge Festival for more than 100 attendees at the Kellogg Conference Hotel. Through the lens of the theme, “The Creative Side of Discovery,” the VL2 Knowledge Festival showcased the Center’s scientific discoveries and transformative translation products from the entire previous year of work. The event featured VL2’s four National Resource Hubs, three laboratories, pioneering Ph.D. in Educational Neuroscience (PEN) Program (including students), and Cognitive Neuroscience Institute.

Cryss Padilla, ’14 & G-’17, and Grady Gallagher, ’11, of Dr. Laura-Ann Petitto’s Brain and Language Lab for Neuroimaging (BL2), are shown interacting with attendees during the festival.
