I am an Assistant Professor in the PhD in Educational Neuroscience (PEN) program at Gallaudet University. I am the science director of the Motion Light Lab, and the Director of the Action & Brain Lab, where we use EEG and other psychophysiological measures to investigate the neural substrates of action as applied to visual language and visual learning. Topics include the role of experience in learning new actions, self-other body representations, and the role of mirroring systems in signed languages.
